Building Independence,
One Meaningful
Step at a Time.
Every person’s journey toward independence is unique. That’s why we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all support.
At Alasi, we partner with autistic teens, young adults, and their families to build practical life skills, confidence, communication, and greater independence through personalized one-on-one support at home and in the community.
By meeting each individual where they are and celebrating every milestone along the way, we help create opportunities for a more confident and fulfilling future.
why choose Alasi
Independence Starts with the Right Support
Support That Meets Your Family Where You Are
Families often worry about what happens after school, how their loved one will become more independent, or whether they’ll always rely on others for everyday tasks.
At Alasi, we help turn those concerns into achievable goals.
We Focus on Practical Independence
Instead of isolated exercises, individuals practice real-life skills where they'll actually use them—at home and throughout their community.
Every Plan Is Personalized
No two individuals are alike. Every support plan is tailored to each person’s communication style, sensory needs, strengths, and personal goals.
Understanding and Support Come First
Our person-centered, proactive approach begins by understanding communication, sensory needs, movement, environment, trust, and the support needed in that moment.
Supporting the Whole Family
Families are active partners throughout the journey. We provide communication, guidance, and consistency so progress continues beyond each session.
Real Progress That Matters
Whether it's preparing a meal, navigating a grocery store, communicating needs, making choices, or participating in the community, every step can strengthen skills, expand opportunities for choice, and create more meaningful participation and joy.
Independence is not measured by how little support someone needs; it is measured by how much opportunity that person has to live a meaningful life.
FAQ
Can my loved one become more independent?
Every person’s journey is different, but we believe everyone can make meaningful progress. Our goal is to help each person build practical life skills, confidence, communication, and greater independence at their own pace. By focusing on individualized goals and celebrating every milestone, we empower autistic teens and young adults to participate more fully in everyday life.
Is Alasi the right fit for my loved one?
Our program supports autistic teens and young adults with a wide range of abilities and support needs. Every client receives a personalized support plan based on their strengths, goals, communication style, and daily life. We’ll begin with a consultation to determine whether our program is the right fit for your family.
How is Alasi different from traditional autism programs?
Alasi provides one-to-one, home and community-based support focused on building practical independence in everyday life. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all model, we create personalized support plans that respect each individual’s strengths, preferences, and goals. Our regulation-first approach helps clients feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
Where do services take place?
Support happens where life happens—at home and throughout the community. Clients practice real-world skills in familiar environments such as grocery stores, parks, gyms, restaurants, and other community settings where they’ll use those skills every day.
What kinds of skills do you help develop?
We help individuals build practical skills that promote greater independence, including daily living routines, communication, self-advocacy, emotional regulation, community participation, and personal safety. Every session is tailored to the individual’s goals and support needs.
My loved one has significant support needs. Can Alasi still help?
Possibly. We support individuals with a wide range of support needs, including those who are nonspeaking or minimally speaking, experience sensory challenges, or require additional supervision. Every referral begins with a thoughtful conversation to determine whether we can safely and appropriately meet your loved one’s unique needs.
Will you work with our current therapists or support team?
Yes. With your authorization, we can collaborate with your loved one’s BCBA, occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist, physician, school team, Regional Center, or other professionals to promote consistency and support across environments.
How do we get started?
It starts with a conversation. During your consultation, we’ll learn about your loved one’s strengths, goals, and support needs, answer your questions, and discuss how Alasi can create a personalized plan that supports greater independence.
Every Journey Toward Independence Begins with One Conversation.
Whether you're looking for support for your teenager or preparing a young adult for greater independence, we're here to help every step of the way.
Let's create a personalized plan that empowers confidence, practical skills, and meaningful participation in everyday life.
